2021 Spring Studio 809 Enrollment

I am excited to be full time teaching voice and piano at Studio 809. This means the schedule will expand to include lessons in the mornings and early afternoons….before we were limited to an after school schedule only. Another benefit is that now make-up lessons will be scheduled….consistent weekly lessons and practice is very important to growing the needed skills that lead to improved music-making enjoyment.

Voice Lesson: Options…Options…Options…

All voice lessons will focus on healthy singing technique and they can be structured to meet your interests. With each student, lessons will be structured that align with individual’s goals. Example goals:

  • auditioning for an upcoming musical
  • learning to read music
  • auditioning for district and state events
  • preparing for music contest
  • singing with a church worship band
  • preparing to continue your music education post-high school
  • singing contemporary commercial music.

Piano Lesson: Group and Private

Over the past few years, I have been developing a fun method that works for pre-school age students. Once these young students complete a series of private lessons using the “No-book-method” approach, they can easily transition into a piano group.

For young beginning and developing students (elementary through adult), a good combination is group piano during the school year followed by private lessons throughout the summer. On occasion, there are students who learn better in a private lesson setting….and I make this work when times are available.
